South Metro ARFF Training

On December 19th, 2021 at approximately 13:00 South Metro Fire Rescue conducted aircraft rescue and fire fighting training at Centennial Airport. Specially trained firefighters assigned to the ARFF team practiced cutting through fuselage on a prop plane at the southwest corner of the airport. The team based at Stations 35 and Station 44 respond to aircraft-related incidents in and around the airport. South Metro has three specialized aircraft response trucks. Red 1 and Red 2 are housed at Station 35 on the north side of the airport and Red 3 is housed at Station 44, located just south of the airport.
