Littleton Vehicle vs. Building

At 18:21 on January 2nd, 2020 South Metro Fire Rescue responded to multiple reports of a vehicle accident involving a structure at 5331 S. Delaware St. in Littleton. A vehicle traveling westbound on Rafferty Gardens Ave. crossed over Delaware St. and collided with a parked car, then struck an apartment building. Crews arrived and found the driver of the car seriously injured and quickly transported that person to the hospital, with no other injures. The Technical Rescue Team responded to the scene and constructed emergency shoring to stabilize the area where a support column was destroyed. After working with the building department, the structure was deemed safe and released to the property owner for repairs. Littleton Police Department is handling the accident investigation.
