Circle Drive Structure Fire

At 16:15 on May 11th, 2021, the Colorado Springs Fire Department responded to a possible structure fire in the 800 block of Circle Dr. On scene, AMR Medic 16 advised flames showing on the north side of the building in the basement. Engine 8 arrived on scene and upgraded the incident to a working structure fire. Engine 8 began fire attack, while Battalion 2 established Circle Command. Truck 8 and Truck 1 both arrived on scene, Truck 8 was assigned vertical vent and Truck 1 was assigned RIC. Engine 23 was assigned to supply Engine 8 and to pull a backup line off of Engine 8. Engine 8 was able to get a knock on the fire at 16:26. Heavy Rescue 17 arrived and assumed RIC from Truck 1, while HazMat 14 arrived and assumed Safety and Accountability. Crews remained on scene for overhaul and then turned over the scene to the investigators upon their arrival.
