Eric Talley Memorial

Officer Eric Talley of the Boulder Police Department was honored in a memorial ceremony with family, friends, and first responders on March 30th, 2021 at the Flatirons Community Church in Lafayette. A large procession was held to the church with hundreds of people that lined the streets to honor Talley. The procession included law enforcement from all across the state and country including fire and EMS vehicles. Talley died in the line of duty when he was shot at the King Soopers in Boulder during an active shooter on March 22nd, 2021, among 9 other lives. Talley was with the department since 2010 and is the sixth on duty death in the department’s history. Talley was 51 years-old and is survived by his wife and seven children.
