On December 17th, 2021 Douglas County Sheriff Joe Pollack (Badge #0214) was honored with a celebration of life at the Southeast Christian Church in Parker. A large procession before the service was held to honor Joe from the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Castle Rock to the church. Pollack was a United States Marine Corps Reserve veteran, and with the New York Police Department for 20 years, and also part of the 9/11 recovery efforts. Joe retired from NYPD as an sergeant. He was with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office for 19 years as a detective and part of the special investigations unit. Pollack passed away with a line of duty death after having complications from COVID while on duty on December 9th, 2021. Joe is survived by his wife and three children.
