AFA Open House

The Air Force Academy Fire & Emergency Services at the U.S. Air Force Academy held their annual open house with hunt housing picnic and fire wise event at Station 1 on June 18th, 2022. The community members from across the base enjoyed lunch, met with firefighters, toured the station, checked out the apparatus, obtained safety information and learned more about the department. The El Paso County Search and Rescue, AFA Security Forces, Asteri EMS, Flight for Life, and the AFA’s Falconry Program also participated in the event. The department staffs three full-time fire stations on the Air Force Academy, and may staff up to five as mission requirements dictate.
