Colorado Springs Garage Fire

On January 7th, 2022 at 08:50 Colorado Springs Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a possible structure fire in the 4100 block of Morley Court. Engine 11 arrived they found heavy fire showing from the garage of a single-story home. Firefighters kept the fire contained to the garage and only smoke damage was done to the inside of the home. Fire investigators were able to determine that the fire was accidentally caused by an overloaded electrical circuit. In this case, too many Christmas lights were plugged into one outlet.
