On November 1st, 2022, the Colorado Springs Fire Department held an opening for their newest fire station, Fire Station 23 and radio shop. This station is considered an infill station, and Engine 23 is expected to respond to over 5,000 calls for service a year. The combined fire station and city radio shop cost was $4.8 million.
