Grand Lake Structure Fire

At approximately 07:05 on July 22nd, 2022 Grand County 911 dispatched the Grand Lake Fire Protection District and Grand County EMS to the 1000 block of Grand Ave. in Grand Lake for a possible structure fire at the Sagebrush Restaurant. Once en route, dispatch advised all units that the RP reported smoke and flames showing from the 2nd floor of the restaurant. On scene, crews found active fire in the building’s laundry room and was able to get a quick known and contain it to the laundry room. The fire is currently under investigation but can confirm the fire originated in the building’s commercial dryer. No injuries and minor damage was reported. The business was able to reopen later that morning. Additional information was provided by the Grand Lake Fire Protection District.
