On November 14th, 2022 just before 20:45 Pueblo West Fire Department was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Kipling Drive on a reported residential structure fire. The caller explained she had a wall outlet that was actively smoking and believed to have seen flames at one point too. They then reported the outlet was black and it appeared to be spreading within the wall. Engine 831 arrived on scene and sized up a small single-story single wide residence with nothing showing and began investigating the cause. After making entry into the home it was discovered to be an electrical issue with the outlet and that there was no active fire. 831 cancelled all other incoming units and remained on scene a few minutes longer to confirm no extension.
