On April 9th, 2022 around 15:45 Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Communications Center dispatched Pueblo West Fire Department to the 200 block of Homer Dr. on a reported residential structure fire. Callers reported a fire in the yard and that it had spread to the house. Engine 831 arrived on scene to find light smoke showing from a single-family residence and stretched a line to make a fast attack. They found a fire in the back yard had extended into the siding and up into the eves of the residence and quickly extinguished everything exterior. Ladder 851 caught the plug and crews made entry. Firefighters confirmed there was no extension into the interior of the home and overhaul was performed on the exterior where the fire had been originally found before clearing.
