Around 09:30 on April 5th, 2022 West Park Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the area of the 5500 block of Red Creek Springs Rd. E on a reported vehicle fire. The  Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Communications Center reported a fully engulfed vehicle to units as they went enroute. Engine 531 arrived and found a fully involved pick up truck in the middle of the road. Due to high winds in the region the potential for spread was high. The driver was able to positioning the vehicle to lower the risk of spread to the brush in the ditch. Units were able to knock the fire down in a short amount of time and prevent the wind from pushing it into anything else. Additional information provided by Code 4 Photography
