Berthoud Hose Company 1, Caretakers of Tradition groundbreaking for their antique apparatus bay at Berthoud Fire Protection District Station 61 on July 15th, 2023. The Caretakers of Tradition spearheaded the fundraising efforts to make the project a reality. Many donors of funds, materials and labor from the community are coming together for this project. The apparatus bay will house the restored 1888 hose cart and 1927 GMC / Julius Pearce engine, both original to Berthoud. Information and story provided by the Caretakers of Tradition
