Frederick-Firestone Garage Fire

At approximately 02:50 on February 8th, 2023 Weld County Regional Communications Center (WCRCC) dispatched Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District and Platteville-Gilcrest Fire Protection District to residential structure fire in the 12000 block of Sunset Drive in Firestone. Arriving units found heavy fire in the garage with extension to the main floor living space and second floor. All occupants were reported to be out of the home. The fire was brought under control with both hand lines and aerial master streams. Firefighters were on scene with an extended overhaul and investigation. No injuries were reported and the origin and cause are under investigation.
