Poudre Apartment Fire

At 22:53 on September 26th, 2023 Poudre Fire Authority responded to reports of a structure fire in the 1500 block of Blue Spruce Dr. in Fort Collins. Engine 12 arrived to a two-story multi-family with smoke from the Alpha side and started the investigation. A 2nd alarm response was requested after the volume of smoke on arrival. Tower 1 arrived and started primary search and Battalion 1 arrived and assumed command. Engine 1 assisted with the water supply and pulled a 2nd line in and Engine 7 assigned to assist Engine 12 with fire attack. The resident was evacuated and was assisted away from the building. The resident’s dog was located and unharmed. Crews found a grease fire in the kitchen and was put under control quickly. The resident was evaluated for smoke inhalation by UCHealth paramedics.
