Poudre 2nd Alarm Attic Fire

At 00:12 on November 11th, 2023 Poudre Fire Authority responded to a reported structure fire in the 5100 block of W. County Rd. 54G in Larimer County close to Laporte. Engine 7 arrived to a working chimney fire which extended into the attic of a single story house. A second alarm was called and crews worked the fire before getting it under control. The resident of the home reported the fire after being awoken by their smoke alarms. One resident and a cat were home at the time and were able to find the cat and exited on their own before crews arrived. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.
