Pueblo County Brush Fire

On September 7th, 2023 at 17:30 Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Communications Center dispatched Pueblo County Sheriff Emergency Services Bureau (ESB) Fire Team to the 1400 block of Second Rd. for a brush fire. Callers reported a small brush fire that was beginning to spread and possibly threatening houses. Mutual-aid was offered from Pueblo West Fire Department in the form of a Type 6 brush truck. Units arrived on scene to find approximately 1/2 acre fire actively spreading in moderate fuels and began attacking with hand tools. Brush 863 arrived and began working with a booster line to control the fire. Units were on scene for about an hour mopping up hot spots and confirming containment.
