On April 13th, 2024 Sugarloaf Fire Protection District, Boulder County Park Rangers, Boulder County Sheriff Emergency Services and Rocky Mountain Rescue members conducted a joint training at Betasso Preserve Open Space. They were dispatched to a report of 3 injured parties near Bummers Rock. Hiking in as a team, BCPOS, Sugarloaf Firefighters, and RMR members triaged the patients, packaged them, and evacuated the injured uphill to the trailhead.
