Station 24 Groundbreaking Ceremony

The Colorado Springs Fire Department held the official groundbreaking ceremony for the new Station 24 on May 15th, 2024. The new Station 24 will be located at New Life Dr. and Voyager Pkwy, across from the Pikes Peak State College – Rampart Campus. The station will have 3 apparatus bays and house an engine company and Type 6 brush truck, along with a crew of 4 firefighters. Firefighters, command staff, board members, and local officials joined together the rainy afternoon to celebrate the occasion. Station 24 will improve response times on the northern side of the city, and take the strain off of nearby Station 19 and Station 22. The station is estimated to be completed late 2024 or early 2025. To help response times while the station is being constructed, Brush 24 will be staffed by a firefighter paramedic and firefighter EMT at the Pikes Peak State College – Rampart Range Campus.
