At 14:05 on February 28th, 2024 Poudre Fire Authority responded to a call of a battery fire in an engineering lab on Isotope Drive. Engine 3 was the first on scene and was quickly backed up by Engines 6 and Engine 12. Engaging in an offensive strategy, crews hooked up to a standpipe to attack the fire. Firefighters doused the fire with approximately 20 to 30 gallons of water, but the battery soon reignited, so the crews hit it again. No one was injured in the fire. Crews remain on scene while the building continues to be ventilated. Additional information provided by Poudre Fire Authority
