Poudre Condo Fire

On April 15th, 2024 at 04:59 Poudre Fire Authority and UCHealth EMS responded to reports of a condo on fire in the 2000 block of Rigden Pkwy in Fort Collins. Engine 10 arrived on scene and quickly initiated fire attack. While crews worked to search the unit on fire and extinguish the flames, Fort Collins police officers worked on evacuating neighboring units. Crews were able to rapidly extinguish the fire and locate two cats inside. Both cats were safely brought out and evaluated by the UCHealth ambulance crew on scene. No other occupants of the condo were home at the time of the fire.  Once the fire was out crews remained on scene for mop up and to ensure the home was secured. The fire cause is under investigation.
