Poudre 2nd Alarm Fire

Around 15:30 on November 13th, 2024 Poudre Fire Authority was dispatched to a structure fire in the 400 block of N. Hwy. 287. Dispatched reported that callers saying people trying to get dogs out of the structure. Crews arrive and confirmed a working fire with heavy smoke. Two dogs were taken out of the home before responders arrived and a rabbit was rescued by firefighters. No injuries were reported. The fire began in or on the stove when electricity was reconnected to the home. Some burner knobs were turned to on or ignite. Poudre Fire Authority fire investigator has determined that the fire was accidental. Additional information provided by Poudre Fire Authority
