Garden City National Night Out

On August 6th, 2024 Garden City hosted their National Night Out bringing the community together. Kids were able to register for a free backpack as well as enjoy several activities. Greeley Fire Department Community Risk Reduction team brought their new inflatable fire safety house and the operations division brought Battalion 1 (101) and Rescue 1 (101), which preformed a vehicle extrication demonstration. Garden City Police Department had two patrol units for the kids to climb in and play with the lights and sirens. UCHealth EMS provided ambulance tours and the Weld County Regional Communications Center had a booth explaining to children what the 911 dispatchers needed when they call. Superior towing had several tow trucks on display and Garden City grilled hamburgers and hot dogs for the community to enjoy.
