LCDRT Ice Rescue Training

On January 25th, 2025 the Larimer County Dive Rescue and Larimer County Emergency Services gathered at the South Bay Campground area of Horsetooth Reservoir for Ice Rescue Training. Nine students completed the course for ice rescue to become certified rescuers. This course included self rescue methods and team rescue drills of a person who fell through the ice. Crews were working in realistic conditions with the ice only being 2-4 inches thick. Information provided by Evans Emergency Photography
