Grand Valley Fire Protection District (GVFPD), covering 320.75 square miles in Garfield & Mesa Counties including the towns and areas of American Soda, Battlement Mesa, Housetop Mountain Estates, Morrisania Mesa, Parachute, Parachute Creek, Rulison, Spring Creek, Una & Wallace Creek. (FDID #04530)

Grand Valley Fire Protection District was originally formed in 1962 as the Grand Valley Volunteer Fire Department and was reestablished in 1963 as the Grand Valley Fire Protection District.

Grand Valley Fire Protection District (30) is dispatched by the Garfield County Emergency Communications Authority.
