The Grand Junction Regional Communication Center is located at 555 Ute Ave and was constructed in 2012 as part of the Public Safety Complex initiative that remodeled Fire Station 1, the former GJPD HQ, to become Fire Admin and construct a new police facility with 911 dispatch. the GJPD was founded in 1882.
The GJRCC was the 291st (1 0f nearly 300) International Academies of Emergency Dispatch Accredited Center of Excellence (2021).
