Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office Wildland Fire Team (Colorado).

As Fire Warden for the County, the Sheriff maintains a Wildland Fire Team of 21 red carded firefighters from throughout the Sheriff’s Office and County Open Spaces. The Team responds to unincorporated areas of the County, private and state lands, and assists other local firefighting agencies throughout Arapahoe County and neighboring jurisdictions. In 2020 the Team became eligible to deploy out of jurisdiction to state and Federal fires.

The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Wildland Fire Team is dispatched by the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office 911 Communications Center.
