Fire Station 3 (Headquarters / Observatory Station) is located at 19126 Hwy. 119 and has a 30,000 gallon water cistern. This is the former Fritz Peak Observatory building. The new addition of station bays will be completed in March of 2026.

(Engine-Tender 5743) 2013 International 7400 6×6 / Rosenbauer Timberwolf (Tactical Tender / Interface Engine) 1250 GPM rear-mount pump, 2000 gallon water tank, 30 gallons of foam and 125 GPM / 600 psi high-pressure pump. Became Big Sky Fire Department (Montana) Tender 1269.
