Grand Fire Protection District # 1, covering 150 square miles in Grand County (Colorado) including the areas of Arapaho National Forest, Aspen Springs, C Lazy U Guest Ranch, Eightmile Creek, Elkdale, Granby, Granby Mesa, Grand Elk, Highland Marina, Homestead, Kamloop Cove, Kokanee Cove, Lake Granby, Lochleven Cove, Lodge Pole, Mount Chauncey, Muller Creek, Rainbow Bay, Red Top Valley, Reed Creek, Silver Creek, Stillwater, Sunset Point, Tenmile Creek, Trail Mountain, Willow Creek Reservoir & Windy Gap. The Granby Volunteer Fire Department was formed in 1939 and Grand Fire Protection District # 1 was formally established in 1951.
Grand Fire Protection District has auto-aid agreement with East Grand Fire Protection District # 4.
Grand Fire Protection District is dispatched by Grand County Communications Center.
