Elk Creek Fire Memorial

Ralph Vance (Truck 464 / Call # 1005) Elk Creek Volunteer Firefighter Ralph Vance was killed in the line of duty while driving a water tender to a chimney fire on December 14th, 2001 when he involved was involved in a rollover accident in the 2500 gallon tanker. This was the fire department’s first and currently the only line of duty death. Ralph was 68 years-old.
