Jefferson County Wildland Fire Management
Jefferson County Wildland Fire Management is located in Jefferson County (Colorado). The Wildland Fire Management Program was formed in June of 2025 and takes a comprehensive, county-wide approach to wildfire management to protect the residents of Jefferson County from catastrophic wildfire threats. The program was created to address critical gaps in wildfire response, planning, mitigation, community engagement, technology and data management, and sustainable funding and mitigate extreme wildfire danger in the county.
The Wildland Fire Management is part of the Jefferson County Office of Emergency Management (OEM). The Jeffco OEM stewards the county’s emergency management responsibilities as well as other public safety functions within the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
