Montrose Fire Protection District

Montrose Fire Protection District (MFPD), covering 186 square miles in Montrose & Ouray Counties (Colorado) including the areas of Baldridge, Black Canyon, Cedar Creek, Chipeta Lake Park, Cimarron Creek & Eagle Landing. (FDID #08525)

Montrose Fire Department was formed in 1888, and in 1978 Montrose Fire Department with the Montrose Rural Fire District merged to form the Montrose Fire Protection District. In 1999 the district purchased Montrose Ambulance.

Montrose Fire Protection District is dispatched by Western Colorado Regional Dispatch Center.
