Brush Hose Cart Company # 1 was established in 1907, Brush Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1911 and the Brush Rural Fire Department was established in 1952. The Brush Volunteer Fire Department is governed by two entities, The City of Brush and The Brush Rural Fire Protection District.
