South Fork Fire Rescue (SFFR), located in Rio Grande & Mineral Counties (Colorado) including the areas of Church Creek, Rio Grande National Forest, Rivercrest, Sentinel Peak & Wolf Creek. (FDID #10540)
South Fork Fire Protection District was originally the South Fork Volunteer Fire Department under the authority of the Del Norte Fire Protection District. Though the partnership with DNFPD was historically a productive relationship; The South Fork Fire Protection District was formed in December of 2013, removing the South Fork area from the DNFPD.
South Fork EMS joined the district as the South Fork Fire Rescue (SFFR) and working under the authority of the South Fork Fire Protection District and its 5 member governing board of directors.
