Platte Valley Fire Protection District (PVFPD), covering 220 square miles in Weld County (Colorado) including the areas of Empire Intake Canal, Canton, Gil, Hardin, Kersey, Kohler Farms, Kunner, Latham Ditch, Loloff Reservoir, Spanish Village & Sublette. (FDID #12366)

Platte Valley Fire Protection District was originally founded in 1909 as the Kersey Volunteer Fire Department, and changed the name to Platte Valley Fire Protection District in 1954.

Platte Valley Fire Protection District has auto-aid agreements with Evans Fire Protection District and LaSalle Fire Protection District.

Platte Valley Fire Protection District (3700) is dispatched by Weld County Regional Communications Center.
