The Northern Colorado Bomb Squad is a regional team made up of the three financial contributors in Larimer County: Loveland Police Department, Larimer County Sheriff’s Office and the Fort Collins Police Services.

Each agency participates an equal third to the unit providing at least two certified Bomb Technicians and a third of all funding and training. The unit is part-time, meaning each Technician has other duties and responsibilities to their agency, but also trains twice a month with the squad and responds to any calls for service. Our response area is Larimer and Jackson County and we provide back-up to both Weld County and Boulder County.

Northern Colorado Bomb Squad is certified by the FBI and receive federal training for our initial certification as well as ongoing trainings and certifications. Our mission is to respond to and render safe or dispose of any hazardous device that threatens the citizens of our response area.
