Mesa County Sheriff’s Office

The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for public safety in the 3,300 square miles of Mesa County and was founded in 1883. The MCSO not only responds to 911 calls and conducts criminal investigations, but other duties include operating the Mesa County Detention Facility, providing security at the Mesa County Justice Center, search and rescue operations, emergency management, and wildland firefighting. These services are provided by approximately 250 dedicated employees and over 350 committed volunteers. The office is broken into 5 divisions, each with respective teams.

The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office is dispatched by the Grand Junction Regional Communication Center.
