Kit Carson County EMS

Kit Carson County Ambulance Service was formed in 1965 and provides EMS services to 1300 square miles of Eastern Kit Carson County. KCCAS is staffed by 30 volunteers and a paid director. KCCAS has 6 ambulances and a First Response unit.

KCCAS does over 600 emergency responses and more than 60 ground transfers to Front Range Hospitals per year. The Ambulance Service also provides EMS coverage for numerous events throughout the year at no charge. KCCAS was recognized by the Plains to Peaks RETAC, as “Agency of the Region” in 2005, and also received the Emergency Medical Services Association of Colorado, “Agency of the Year”, in 2005.
