NorthWest Colorado InterAgency Fire Management

The NorthWest Colorado Interagency Fire & Aviation Management Unit (NWC) provides a full range of fire management services to participating federal, state, and local jurisdictions in NorthWestern Colorado. The fire unit is comprised of the Little Snake, and White River Field Offices of the Bureau of Land Management, and the White River National Forest. The unit cooperates with state agencies, local communities, and fire departments on a wide range of activities including fuels treatments, fire prevention, and suppression.

Encompassing over 10 Million acres of land managed by participating Federal agencies and private lands, the NorthWest Colorado Fire Unit is oriented along the Continental Divide on the east to the Utah state line to the west, serving Grand, Jackson, Moffat, Rio Blanco, and Routt Counties.

NorthWest Colorado Interagency Fire Unit is dispatched by the Craig Interagency Fire Dispatch located at Craig.
