Fire Station 1 was located in a building behind the old town hall building g on Hollyhock St. The Station was remodeled in the 1980’s by volunteer firefighters. During the early 1990’s, living quarters were added to the rear of the fire station to accommodate full time firefighting personnel and later a much larger modular was brought on site to provide additional space to a growing workforce. The station was closed in 2006 when the new Station 301 was built on N. Village Drive.
