Fresno Fire Department

Fresno Fire Department (FFD), covering 336 square miles in Fresno County (California) including the areas of Biola Junction, Blackstone, Brookhaven, Bullard, Cameo, Chaffee Zoo, Chinatown, Cincotta, Clovis West, Edison, Fig Gardens, Fort Washington, Fresno Yosemite International Airport, Goldleaf, Gordon, Hammond, Herndon, Jefferson, Lake Van Ness, Lowell, Manchester, Mayfair, McLane, Mural District, Muscatel, Pinedale, River Park, Robinson, Roeding Park, Roosevelt, Rowell, San Joaquin Valley, Stallion Park, Sunnyside, Tarpey, Tarpey Village, Tower District, Van Ness, Vinland Park, West Park , West Side & Woodward Park.

Fresno Fire Department established in 1877. The Fig Garden Fire Protection District merged with the district in 2006. In 2007 the department contracted with the North Central Fire Protection District (NCFD) until July 1st, 2019 when the agencies split and the North Central Fire Protection District started its own fire department.
