Reedy Creek Fire Department was established in 1968. Basic ambulance service began in 1971, followed by advanced life support service in 1976. Reedy Creek Fire Department has experienced several name changes. Reedy Creek Fire Department became Reedy Creek Fire Services and then Reedy Creek Emergency Services. The more traditional fire department name has returned to use in recent history.
