Elgin Fire Department (EFD), established in 1867 and covering 38.8 square miles in Kane County (Illinois) including the areas of Almora, Almora Heights, Baker Hill, Burnridge Woods, DC Cook, Eagle Heights, Highlands, Larkin, Lords Park, Lovell, Northwest METRA rail-line, Otter Creek, Prairie Park, Randall, Spring-Douglas, Tyler Creek, West Highland Acres, Willow Lake & Wing Park.
