Winfield Fire/EMS Department, covering 288 square miles in Cowley County (Kansas) including the areas of Albright Park, Black Crook Creek, Cherry Street Park, Cowley, Hiatt Hills, Island Park, Lion’s Park, Southwestern Collage, Tunnel Mill, Walnut River, Winfield.
Winfield Fire/EMS began as the Winfield Volunteer Fire Department in 1886 and divided into three companies: Eaton Hose Company, Skinner Hose Company, and Robinson Hose Company. In 1903 the department became Winfield Fire Department, a full time paid department. In 2014 the department became Winfield Fire/EMS Department.
