Anoka-Champlin Fire Department

Anoka-Champlin Fire Department (ACFD) is a combination department covering 17 square miles in Anoka & Hennepin Counties (Minnesota) including the areas of Anoka, Anoka Nature Preserve, Brittany Park, Bunker Lake, Castle Field, Elm Creek, French Lake, Great River, Green Haven, Heights Park, Kings Island, Mill Pond, Mississippi River, Morningside Park, North River Park, Peninsula Point Park, Rice Street Beach, Rosewood Park, Rum River, Schmidt State Wildlife Management Area, Shores Park, West River Park & Woodlawn Park.

Anoka-Champlin Fire Department was established in 1857 as the Protection Hook and Ladder Company No. 1. and established in 1878 as the Anoka Fire Department. Anoka-Champlin Fire Department is part of a joint powers fire district that shares fire services between the Cities of Anoka and Champlin. This agreement began in 1985 when the City of Champlin joined the already formed Anoka Fire Department.
