Eagan Fire Department

Eagan Fire Department (EFD), covering 34 square miles in Dakota County (Minnesota) including the areas of Blackhawk Lake, Burr Oaks, Carlson Lake, Carnelian Park, Cliff Lake, Diffley Square, Eagan Gables, Eagan Hills, Fish Lake Park, Fort Snelling State Park, Goat Hill, Gun Club Lake, Lebanon Hills, Lebanon Hills Regional Park, Meadowland, Northview Park, O’Leary Park, Rahn Park, Ridgecliff, Skyhill Park, Stonehaven, Summit Hills, Thomas Lake, Thresher Fields, Walden Heights, Walnut Trails & Wescott.

Eagan Fire Department established in 1963 and in 2021 the department fully transitioned to a full-time department.

In 2014, Station 3 (1963-2014) which was located at 4390 Pilot Knob Rd. in Thomas Lake closed and all apparatus was transferred over to Station 4. Station 5 (1988-2017) closed in 2017 that was located at 4701 Galaxie Ave. in Lebanon Hills which was replaced with Station 1.
