Farmington Fire Department (FFD), covering 80 square miles in Dakota County (Minnesota) including the areas of Castle Rock, Empire, Eureka, Farmington.

Farmington Fire Department was organized in 1873 as the Eagle Hook and Ladder Company and was disbanded in 1880 and there was no organized fire department from 1880 to 1885. In 1885 the Cataract Engine Company No. 1 was formed and then as the Farmington Hook and Ladder Company.
