South Metro Fire Department, covering 11 square miles in Dakota County including the areas of Garlough Park, Harmon Park, Marthaler Park, Mississippi River, Oak Hill, South St. Paul & West St. Paul.

South Metro Fire Department is the consolidation of South St. Paul Fire Department and West St. Paul Fire Department in 2008.
