Central Valley Fire Protection District

Central Valley Fire Protection District (CVFD), covering 200 square miles in Gallatin County (Montana) including the areas of Belgrade, Bozeman-Yellowstone International Airport, Dry Creek, Four Corners, Springhill, Reece Creek, River Rock, Riverside, Rock Creek & Valley Center.

Central Valley Fire Protection District was organized as the Belgrade Volunteer Fire Department (BVFD) on December 12th, 1906. In 1947 the Belgrade Rural Fire District was formed. The Reese Creek Fire Service Area (RCVFD) formed in 1978 and the Springhill Fire Service, formed in 1987 were both was annexed into the Belgrade Rural Fire District. In 2006, the Belgrade Rural Fire District changed its name to the Central Valley Fire District to better reflect all the communities served by the District.
