Alliance Fire Department
Alliance Fire Department (AFD) was established 1891 as the Alert Volunteer Fire Department and covers the city of Alliance. The Alliance Rural Volunteer Fire Department was formed in 1949 and covers much of the southern half of Box Elder country along with portions of Morrill and Sheridan counties, roughly 1000 square miles.
